David Miller is a human, which he finds incredibly annoying as he absolutely despises humans. Each day he wakes to discover that he is still a human and once his surprise wears off he settles down into being crabbit for the rest of the day.

crabbit (cra-bit)  Dialect, chiefly Scot. ~adj. 1. ill-tempered, grumpy, curt, disagreeable; in a bad mood [esp. in the morning]. (Often used in 'Ken this, yer a crabbit get, so ye are'). ~n. by their nature or temperament conveys an aura of irritability.

If you ever meet David and come to the conclusion that "crabbit" is not an apt description then you have been successfully lied to, take heed. Oh, unless you are an actor, director, producer or publisher, in which case he really likes you. Honest.

His autobiography 'What I Did At The Weekend', penned when he was 10, was very well received by peers and teacher alike, although he does admit to some poetic license (his Dad bought a second-hand Volkswagen K70 that weekend, not a brand new Jaguar). Now 10+ David is still just as clueless about cars and most other human obsessions, although he has been writing sporadically ever since.
